If you are looking to switch your accounts to MBTC, we have easy to follow, step-by-step instructions to help you make the switch. Be sure to contact us if you run into any issues or have questions along the way.
Open an MBTC account. You can visit your local branch or easily open an account online in just a few minutes.
Change account for your direct deposit.
Print and fill out the Direct Deposit Form
Give the completed form to whomever handles your payroll at your place of employment. (Be sure to include a voided check.)
Change account for your automatic payments.
Many companies allow you to change the bank account your automatic payment pulls from through their website. However, if you cannot make the change online, you can follow the instructions below.
Print and fill out the Change Automatic Payments Form for each payment you have.
Use the Switch Kit Checklist to help ensure you have all automatic payments accounted for.
Send the filled out forms to each company you have automatic payments set up with. (Make sure to include a voided check.)
Close out your old bank account.
Double check you have changed over all direct deposits and automatic payments.
Verify that all checks and transactions have cleared.
Print and fill out the Close Account Form.
Send the completed form to the financial institution in which you are closing your account.
Shred all old checks and cards from closed account.
